Bullying hurts. It is painful and damaging, with effects that can last far beyond childhood and adolescence. Understanding bullying, what it is and how it affects all of our children is a necessary first step to preventing this behaviour and ensuring that each and every young person is safe, included and accepted.
COPA employs the term bullying very carefully as it is often misunderstood and misused.
To prevent and respond to bullying, it is important that we share a common understanding of this deeply concerning issue.
