MODULE 5: WHO IS INVOLVED?

We tend to think of the person doing the bullying and the person being bullied as the only people affected by the situation. But we know that children and teens who are neither bullied nor perpetrating bullying form the majority of young people involved in a bullying situation. Studies indicate that 85% of bullying episodes are witnessed by peers.

To understand bullying, it is important to look at the impact of bullying on witnesses and recognize the many roles they can play when bullying occurs.
